About the Gender Equality Action Plan
GMCT’s Gender Equality Action Plan (GEAP) formalises our commitment to creating a fair and equal workplace. It helps us identify areas for improvement and guides the steps we take to make those changes.
The GEAP applies an intersectional lens to provide greater equality outcomes for everyone. This involves understanding how multiple factors such as gender, race, disability, age, sexual orientation or background interact to create unique advantages or barriers for people in the workplace.
Our requirements under the Gender Equality Act 2020 are to:
Promote gender equality
Conduct gender impact assessments
Undertake a workplace gender audit
Create a Gender Equality Action Plan (GEAP)
Report on progress

Improve access to higher duties for women, particularly at lower levels.
Support and improve training for leaders who complete Gender Impact Assessments, and evaluate gender equality in our policies, programs, and services.
